Cambridge Colleges League of Legends
A competition for Long Road Sixth Form College, Hills Road Sixth Form College and Cambridge Academy for Science and Technology
Deadline for signing up: Midnight on Thursday 1st November!

Timeline

-
Sign up between now and Thursday 1st November.
-
Teams will be formed on Friday 2nd November. All participants will be e-mailed with details of their team, and summoner names will be added to the Teams page on this date.
-
Fixtures will also be calculated on 2nd November with fixture dates being posted on the Fixtures page.
-
Matches should be played at 7pm every Sunday night between October half term and February half term. Note there will be no fixtures during the Christmas period.
-
Between February half term and Easter, any matches that were missed for whatever reason can be played.
-
On a Saturday (date TBC) at the start of the Easter holidays there will be a knockout tournament for the top 4 teams, but not necessarily the teams in 1st-4th place. See below for How It Works for more details.
Rules
-
Teams will consist of 5 players plus one optional substitute. Once teams are formed it is expected that there will not be any changes.
-
Each team should have a captain who will be responsible for inviting everyone into the game.
-
All members of a team must fill in the contact form below. If you normally play on your own or with just a couple of friends, sign up below and I will match you with others from your college.
-
Teams must all come from the same college, for example you can’t have 3 members of the team from Long Road and 1 from Hills Road and 1 from CAST.
-
Identity must be verified. The easiest way to do this is to provide an e-mail address which ends with longroad.ac.uk, hillsroad.ac.uk or cap.education during sign up.
-
Only students of the colleges will be allowed to compete, no teachers or support staff.
-
All games will be played on Summoner's Rift using the Tournament Draft game format. Instructions on how to set this up will be provided nearer the time.
-
All players must have an account on the EUW server.
-
Matches will be played at 7pm on Sunday nights.
How it works
-
Games will be played on Sunday nights at 7pm. I will publish a list of teams with their summoner names on this website so that you can invite the correct people to your games.
-
The competition will be in a league format, with teams scoring points as follows:
-
3 points for winning
-
1 point for losing
-
0 points for both teams if the match doesn't happen
-
-
The final knockout tournament will be for the top four teams, but with a minimum of one team from each college. So, for example, if Hills ends up with teams in the top 3 places, followed by two from Long Road in 4th and 5th place and one from CAST in 6th place, then the top two teams from Hills would play alongside the Long Road team in 4th place and the CAST team in 6th place.
-
Teams are welcome to arrange informal games between each other (known as scrimming).
-
Once a game has been concluded, team captains from both teams should send an e-mail to the cambridgecollegeesports@gmail.com to verify who won. All players are welcome to post their games on YouTube if there are any disputes about who won. Any team who declares a win and is later discovered to have lost will be disqualified and removed from the league.
-
In Tournament Draft mode, any player can type “/pause” to pause the game. However, trolling with the pause functionality (e.g. pausing for 10 minutes just before you’re about to lose) will be highly frowned upon.
-
Fixtures will be made public on this website. For each fixture, one team will be delegated as the host, with their team captain responsible for inviting everyone else into the game.
